In 1999, Dr. Engilman opened his practice in LaGrange, KY, where he still sees patients every week. He opened another practice in Middletown in 2001 and another in Shelbyville in 2002. Splitting up the days of the week in three offices isn’t easy, but Dr. Engilman enjoys being accessible to his patients. No one with braces leaves the office without his home and cell numbers and the knowledge that they can call the doctor with any question or problem.

One patient stated it simply, “he is the nicest man.” He has a friendly, laid-back disposition that relaxes children and adults alike. He has a philosophy to “make their day” for every patient and an attitude to make every day count. In determining treatment, the doctor applies what he calls “The Brooke Rule.” Named for his first daughter, he always considers what he would do if this patient was Brooke.
